Shepherd's Pie

1 large onion, or two

1 to 1 1/2 lbs hamburg (not too lean)

Worcestershire sauce

Corn frozen

Instant mashed potatoes (I prefer Hungry Jack)

Butter (for mashed potatoes)

Salt (for mashed potatoes)

1/2 & 1/2, milk, or cream (for mashed potatoes)

Paprika

 

Prepare:

Saute onions till browned and soft, add hamburg, and break it up.

While this browns, add Worcestershire sprinkle it around the pan

several times.

 

While above is browning, prepare instant potatoes ( I usually make at least

half a whole box, or the whole box like 12 to 20 servings because I like alot of

mashed potatoes on top).

 

While water, butter and salt is heating for potatoes, place frozen corn in microwave.

(I buy it in a bag and use at least 1/2 of the bag or a little more – it depends how much

hamburg mix you are making).

 

When hamburg and onion mixture is cooked, add this to a casserole dish and add the

cooked corn. Mix it up with a bit more Worcestershire sauce (2 times around).

Add the mashed potatoes on top, and add some butter (not softened) and sprinkle some

paprika.

 

Bake in oven at 350 for about 20 to 30 minutes.
